My name is Greg Maly. Thank you for visiting my online audio and visual portfolio. This webpage was previously a place for personal reflection during extended periods of time working/living overseas, which you can find in the legacy blog section. Now I plan to share what I consider to be my best artistic work, and will occasionally write when a worthy topic arises.
My photography is a mix of street, landscape, and macro. My cameras of choice are the Fuji X and Panasonic GH series, with a sprinkling of Sony RX in the mix. I find each to suit a difference purpose.
I currently play in a variety of DC/MD/VA groups, including City on Silt (electronic/rock), Sub-Urban Sol (R&B/Soul/Funk), and The Third Floor Walkups (Experimental/Folk). Click here to read more about these projects.
I teach sound engineering at the Sitar Arts Center in Adams Morgan. Our work there is published under the moniker Six 2 Seven. All music is written, performed, and recorded by students, and is some of the best material I’ve had the privilege to work on. I also have a background in distance learning education, and have taught with the Institute for Technology and Social Change, the US Institute of Peace, and the US Department of State.
I maintain a fully function mobile and studio production recording setup. You can read more about it here.
